2. digital afternoon
Venue: Leibniz Institute of European History (IEG), Alte Universitätsstraße 19, Mainz Event language: German The historical sciences are facing very different new challenges in the digital space. These challenges include the requirements for appropriate data literacy, the expansion of artificial intelligence (especially LLM) and the changing requirements for digitally supported academic communication. How are these challenges perceived by different stakeholders? And what are the consequences of these changes for research and teaching in the historical sciences? At the 2nd ‘Digital Afternoon’, we will be seeking an exchange on these questions and discussing specific approaches in these three areas. Due to the discussion-based format, the number of participants is limited. Please register at the following e-mail address: digital@ieg-mainz.de. Conception and organisation: Andreas Frings, John C.
